Getting To Know The Fabulous Shop 1+1=ONE

Who is 1+1=One? Also known as designsbyone on etsy? Leo , Heera (her business partner), and Velma Kelly (her dog and store supermodel!). 1+1=One has been open on etsy Since November of 2007, they didn't actually start listing until December, but became more actively involved in February of this year.

Leo loves art, fashion, animals, and is very interested in the new "green" movement. She went to college right after high school where he majored in fashion design. While getting her degree, she adopted her baby (her dog) and was inspired by her to make clothes for dogs. People started noticing them and asking her to make things for their dogs and 1+1=ONE, the clothing line for stylish pups, was born.

What exactly do you do (What do you make?):
Doggie clothing and accessories. I want to maybe start doing collars, harnesses, and other things soon.

How did you first pick up your craft?
I majored in fashion design in college and I applied everything I learned about design, sewing, patternmaking, etc. towards doggie merchandise.

Favorite thing about it:
It makes people smile and keeps puppies warm. Some dogs actually LOVE wearing clothes, I know mine does!
