"My sculptures are about making a word, a phrase, a part of a song, or my thoughts into something tangible using discarded pieces of wood as well as designed elements."

Margaret has been a working artist for many years. As a Tampa, Florida native, she has studied at Hillsborough Community College, University of South Florida and Penland School of Crafts in Penland, North Carolina.

Her work has been described as whimsical wooden construction, pleasing to the eye and open to varying interpretations and is in collections in Russia, Japan, Canada, South America, and the United States.

"There are times when I will tell my story with a single sculpture and other times there will be a series of work all along the same line of thought.Lately, I find it hard to restrict myself to one medium and will often use two-dimensional material, such as canvas or water color paper to express my thoughts in a collage.

Hi! My name is Eileen, I live in a suburb of Maryland with my wonderful husband, 2 sons and our bulldog. I love creating one-of-kind lampwork beads and being able to share them with people like you. I have found my artistic passion.

I am mostly self taught but have been fortunate enough to have taken a few classes from artists that I consider to be highly regarded in the lampwork world. My beads are made with soft glass such as Morette/Effetre, ASK, Lauscha and others. After each bead is created I tuck them into my kiln for a good night sleep so they will wake up sturdy and strong to last a lifetime...
